It is that time again in Eorzea where the relic weapons go up their next ilevel. This time our anima weapon is growing and once again she will need a new host but until we can develop a better one – we got a temporary solution.
Skipping the overall story as I am sure most people by now is up to that stage (although I may copy and paste the actual quest scripts in future but to finish this quest line we have to get 50 of these so-called “Singing clusters” and then hand it over. In order to get these we go back to our most hated method and farming tomes or by doing a daily and a weekly quest.
For just doing roulette you will be able to do it in about two to four months but for those grinding it fast, you will be able to do it in a couple of days. I am really hoping these quests do NOT carry over to Storm’s Blood or I think I will stop doing any future relics.
Other than that this is a very easy stage as expected in order for it to catch up with the tome weapon (at this point I don’t get why people buy the tome weapon unless you get it while raiding).
So the first day of the relic and naturally I have not put that much effort into it as I been doing Palace of the Dead but so far by just doing roulette, Palace of the Dead and by capping my tomes before the relic quest started I now have 19 of these and imagine I could do it tomorrow if I have the will for it.
I suppose it’s worth saying that I have also completed my expert roulette and got the daily for it but for the weekly you have to do a couple of things you need to do for it but not hard although I have yet to do it.
Seeing I still want the Sophia bird … I’m tempted to just grind it out all day!
So it has now been the second day with the release of the new relic quest and I am about half way to completing it with little effort.
Today I mostly been focused on completing Palace of the Dead and completed all of the roulette with a couple of new players with it.
I was hoping that with Wonderous Tails I would be able to get two lines as I would pretty much be complete with the relic quest but alas we will see how it goes tomorrow. Might just do 26 or so runs and call it a day.
So today I have had time to go ahead and grind for it and been doing it via the Aetherial Research Facility and am pleased to say I have now finished completing my relic.
The story line of the relic quest was pretty weak and not too surprising sadly as it seems to be quick catch up. I would advise those that is currently doing this relic quest to go ahead and either just do it via expert once a day and do the weekly level roulette (which will do it in a couple of weeks) or possible just spam Aetherial Research Facility and call it a day.
The overall stats update is not a lot but it far better than buying the new tome weapon … so am happy!
